Full access to Unified Search, bibliographic databases, electronic journals and electronic books, both subscribed and open access, is provided only via the NKUA data network.

Connect to the Unified Search
The Library and Information Centre (LIC) of the University of Athens, has the Summon Discovery Service of ProQuest to provide a single search of the electronic resources it offers.
This is a unified (simultaneous but not real-time) search of a number of electronic web resources, which include:
the catalogue (OPAC) of the NKUA Library
the NKUA institutional repository Pergamos
the NKUA Library electronic journal publishing system
bibliographic databases, e-books and e-journals to which the NKP subscribes directly
electronic resources of HEAL-Link (almost all journals and a large percentage of the electronic journals of the NKP) electronic resources of HEAL-Link/SEAB (almost all journals and a large percentage of the electronic journals of the NKP). electronic resources (books and journals) Open Access (Open Access)
In the search results, the user can use a number of filters and tools, as well as extend his search beyond the collections to which access is granted.
VPN connection guide
Virtual Public Network (VPN) establishes a secure connection for all members of the university community to connect to local networks and infrastructures of the University from any location (network) outside its premises, even from abroad.
Use - Requirements
Some of the features of VPN service include the following:
- Safe access to the University’s infrastructures from networks outside NKUA
- Access to the NKUA digital libraries from networks outside NKUA
To use this service it is required to have an account with the NKUA Network Operations Center
