Manuscripts

Chronological coverage: 11th –19th century

Description: The manuscripts of the Library of the School of Philosophy (former of the Library of Byzantine and Modern Greek Literature) are eighty two (82) , mostly post Byzantine and four of them Byzantine, their content being mainly  ecclesiastical.Between 1962-1964 G. Th. Zoras and Ph. K. Bouboulides  published the catalog of fifty manuscripts under the title «Catalog of manuscripts of the Spoudasterion of Byzantine  and Modern Greek Philology of the University of Athens», in two parts in the Epeteris of the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens vol. 13 (1962-1963) p. 464-488 and vol. 14 (1963-1964) p.205-265,  and  also in an offprint format.

In 2004  Professor Photios Ar. Demetrakopoulos published the «Supplementary catalog of manuscripts of the Spoudasterion of Byzantine  and Modern Greek Philology of the University of Athens» in the Epeteris of the School of Philosophy, volume 35 (2003-2004) p. 339-381, with 68 photographs of the manuscripts.
